Hemi and SRT8 Single Nozzle Fly-by-Wire Sys (50-150hp) with 10lb Bottle
There’s no doubt about the popularity of late model Hemis. Here in Southern California you can’t turn a corner without seeing a 5.7/6.1 Charger, 300C, Magnum or Challenger. Given the styling, power and affordable fun factor that marks each of these cars, this popularity is easy to understand.
But once you become accustomed to the stock Hemi kick in the pants, you will probably begin to consider mods, it’s in our nature, right? Sure, it’s fun to dream of cost-no-object wish list projects, but if you’re like us, you have to live within your means and pay the rent and put food on the table. So the real question then is, what are the best bang for the buck mods?
This brings us to the new Nitrous Express Chrysler/Dodge Hemi NOS system made specifically for these cars. Nitrous Oxide has long been known for delivering big bang for your bucks, and we were curious to see how receptive the LX Hemis are to NOS.The kit is very complete, with everything you need to add 50, 75, 100, or 150 horsepower to your ride. Included are Nitrous Express’ billet aluminum and carbon fiber solenoids, 10 pound bottle with their “Lightening 45” bottle valve, patented Shark nozzle, and an auto-learning Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) activation switch (more on that later). Follow along while we watch team EZ-Detailing install and test this system on their bracket raced 2007 Dodge Magnum SRT8.
