Carl Weisinger, like many dyed-in-the-wool drag racers, has a day job that he does to support his drag racing addiction. In Carl’s case he is the operator of Florida’s Orlando Speed World Dragway, the site of drag racing’s oldest and best “street legal” race.
While he has gained much fame with fans and racers as the operator and originator of the World Street Nationals (held this year Oct. 29-31), his friends and peers know him as a serious NHRA Super Stock racer.
Although he hasn’t been racing much lately, over the years he raced and owned a variety of (shudder) Camaro Super Stockers including a few he still owns including two SS/BA big block-powered Camaros and an SS/DA Camaro.
