Victory Performance Nostalgia Super Stock Series at Cedar Falls, Iowa. Big Red Rule. TeVault jumps over past champs for his first Victory Performance win. Words by Jeff Burk. Photos by Matt and Dennis Mothershed.

The Victory Performance Nostalgia Super Stock series rolled into Cedar Falls (Iowa) Raceway for that track’s annual “Night of Fire” July 21 and the fourth of six races on the 2012 NSS schedule.

Although the field was small in car count, it was huge in talented competitors. Every champion the series has was on hand for this event including Tim Frees, Clay Kossuth, Al Corda (who tied for the point championship last year and lost in a run-off) and defending series champ Dan Beale (the only previous champ not driving a Mopar) and his potent Pontiac GTO.

At the Cedar Falls event past performance was not an intimidation factor as Kossuth and Frees lost in the first round, Corda in the second and Beale in the finals.
