A true crowd favorite was Richard Gregory’s Mopar 528-motivated ’41 Willys. The Pro Street entry from Roanoke, VA, reportedly puts out about 710 horsepower.
Another mystery machine, this one was missing the information card from the window, but it’s a cool old Plymouth, so still worthy of attention.

Robert Chrisley of Dublin, VA, brought out this sweet Dart Swinger with a Vortec Supercharger-equipped 440 between the front fenders. Very cool car!

Just a couple of hundred feet away from the car show, over at the eighth-mile Motor Mile Dragway, Oregon’s Dennis Radford had his 770 c.i. 1970 AAR Cuda going 4.14 at 178 mph to qualify 14th for the ADRL Pro Nitrous race. Radford ran another 4.14 in the opening round of eliminations, but it wasn’t quite enough to keep pace with eventual race runner-up Keith Baker.
