Bidding on Mopar Muscle

The NASCAR Nextel Cup garage at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) was turned into an auction barn Jan. 13, as Potts Auction Company sent approximately 100 cars across the block. Though advertised as a combination classic car/racers event, the vast majority of vehicles fell solidly in the collector car realm, with Mother Mopar well represented in both the auction and car corral. Final sales figures were not immediately available, but MoparMax.com saw several cars go to new owners for very reasonable bids.

This 1933 Plymouth Coupe stayed true to its roots with V-8 Mopar muscle under its hood.

In the car corral, $28,500 would’ve taken home this 1950 Dodge Powertop convertible.
