The Altronics SHIFT shifting system allows the driver to shift an automatic transmission manually with push buttons, and can be easily custom programmed for reliable automatic operation with shift points based on time or RPM.
SHIFT provides an accurate, fast, simple, and safe means to control a high performance automatic transmission. The system enables the driver to maximize transmission performance on the race track, and on the street. SHIFT is operated with a simple three electronic shift button control unit that is mounted to a standard steering wheel, or on the dash or floor. An easy to view backlit display shows gear selection. Wireless Altronics SHIFT electronic Paddle Shifters for automatic transmissions, which allow the driver to sequentially shift while keeping their hands on the steering wheel rim, are also available. Mechanical shift functions are performed by a high speed motor controlled actuator that replaces the shift linkage, CO2 air bottle or electric solenoid, and mechanical shift cable. The actuator uses one cable connection that is easily routed. SHIFT electric shifter for automatic transmissions incorporates multiple integrated safety lock outs to inhibit accidental shifting into reverse or park. No external RPM shift control box is needed. More than just another pretty face, the Arrington Catch Cans were engineered to be exceedingly functional and to look good doing it. Our unique spiral internal pre-filter forces all the air to flow through all of the media eliminating the opportunity for oil to escape into your intake system. Most other catch can designs are done filtering after the stainless media, but the Arrington Compeition Catch Can is just getting started! After the stainless filter media removes the large oil droplets, the blow-by gases are steered through a Green Filter crankcase vent filter to remove the very small oil droplets that make up more than 50% of blow-by oil mass.
Other catch cans on the market use puny fittings that have smaller flow paths than the PCV system hose. We ran the numbers and proved that these restrictions can lead to pressure building in the crankcase, so we super-sized our fittings to 1/2” NPT meaning our catch can is the only one on the market that can support a full 5/8” flow path.
